AT&T announced plans on Monday to hire 175 workers for its AT&T DirecTV call center in Boise at 5800 N. Meeker Drive.

The new hires will go through a seven-week training program. AT&T, which bought DirecTV in 2015, has more than 1,100 employees in Idaho and has hired more than 200 in Boise in 2016.

Last week, the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers announced it will represent AT&T’s DirecTV employees, including 750 working at the Boise call center.
