HydroPoint, a San Francisco water management company, has purchased a similar company in Boise, Baseline Systems.

HydroPoint said the 33 Baseline employees would remain in place in Boise. HydroPoint has 56 employees.

HydroPoint systems limit wasting water in landscape irrigation by using irrigation controllers, flow-management plans and cloud-based central management. The company plans to expand into indoor water management.

Terms of the sale were not disclosed.

Formed in Boise in 1998, Baseline Systems works in similar fields, developing irrigation controllers and patented soil moisture sensors.

A HydroPoint spokeswoman declined to name the owners of the privately held company.
