Save the Day Seasonings, direct-sales company, opens in Meridian

Save the Day Seasonings, a direct-sales company, is opening at 149 S. Adkins Way in Meridian.

The business will have a grand opening from noon to 8 p.m. June 10 with entertainment and food.

The company’s CEO, Adrian Alvi, worked in restaurants, bakeries and as a cake decorator before starting a career in computer systems, according to a news release.

Alvi began making seasoning blends to simplify meal preparation.

“It was after my extended family encouraged me to actually sell the blends that propelled me to develop the 13 varieties we currently offer,” Alvi said.

The blends include spicy and regular seasonings to flavor dishes in cuisines such as Indian, Mexican, Italian, Thai, Cajun, Jamaican and Chinese.

The company uses a direct-sales model and sells through kitchen consultants. It also sells the seasoning blends on its website.
