Boise State to bring 40 Vietnamese students per year to campus
Boise State University’s College of Business and Economics has signed a partnership agreement with the National Economics University of Vietnam in Hanoi to offer a new program for international students.
The partnership, named the 2+2 program, will bring 40 Vietnamese undergraduate students each year to the College of Business and Economics by fall semester 2018. The students will study for two years in Vietnam and then finish their degrees at Boise State, earning bachelor’s degrees in any of nine majors.
Ken Petersen, dean of the College of Business and Economics, said the partnership will enhance Boise State’s learning environment and make a significant contribution to the university’s goals for diversity, globalization and enrollment. He said additional partnerships could be forged with other units across campus.
“There are so many possibilities for our university in Vietnam,” Petersen said.
The 2+2 program is part of a more than two-decade long collaboration among the business college, the National Economics University and Vietnam.
