The McDonald’s restaurant at 2516 S. Apple St., in Southeast Boise, closed at the end of last year, according to a representative of the franchise company that owns local McDonald’s eateries.

The restaurant was not “economically viable,” and the company wanted to focus on and improve its other properties, the representative said.

The restaurant space remains vacant, on Apple Street between Parkcenter Boulevard and Boise Avenue.
