Maverik lists sites of 4 new Treasure Valley stores

The convenience store and gas-station chain Maverik Inc. has announced the locations of four new stores in Boise, Meridian and Nampa

The Utah company told the Statesman it plans to invest up to $50 million in the Treasure Valley over the next few years. That includes the new stores at:

▪  Nampa Boulevard and Shannon Drive, Nampa, slated to open in 2016.

▪  Locust Grove and Fairview Avenue, Meridian, scheduled to open in late 2016 or early 2017.

▪  Cole Road and Fairview Avenue, Boise — where Cole Elementary had been located — to open in 2017.

▪  Franklin Road and Orchard Street, Boise, to open in 2017.

The company said March 3 that it would open four stores and shut its Boise stores at 5200 Chinden Blvd., 1909 W. Boise Ave. and 9030 W. Franklin Road.

Maverik also plans over the next two years to rebuild two stores in Boise and remodel a third.

“Finally, we are actively looking for additional sites throughout the Treasure Valley on which to locate future Maverik stores,” the company said in an email.

Maverik said it provided “employment opportunities within the company” to workers whose stores were closing.
