After more than 20 years of delivery to Boise-area households, Marlene Lewis has ceased publishing the Town Planner Calendar.
The first edition of the calendars went out to 46,000 homes in 1993. That grew to 113,000 in 2015 — with coupons and content tailored to seven different areas.
It was a full-time job for Lewis.
“I’m just absolutely burned out,” Lewis told the Statesman in an interview this week.

Lewis will soon know whether she has found a buyer for the publication, which she said remains profitable.
“I would just love for it to continue on,” she said.
Meanwhile, she has been hearing from residents who wonder what happened to the mailer they have received for decades.
“I have a voicemail set up [to announce publication has stopped], because the phone just rings and rings and rings and rings,” she said.
