Supervalu lays off 80 Boise employees
Supervalu, the Minnesota-based company that owned Idaho’s Albertsons stores for several years, has notified the state that it is laying off 80 employees.
According to state records, the Supervalu layoffs are effective March 11.
The notice of layoffs comes six months after the company cut 115 jobs from the finance shared-services department at Supervalu’s Boise offices on ParkCenter Boulevard. Those layoffs followed the end of an agreement Supervalu had with its former subsidiary Albertsons, which now is part of the Boise-based Albertsons company.
At the time of those July layoffs, Supervalu had 475 employees in Boise.
