Canyon County Co-op sets opening date for January
The Canyon Co-op will open its doors on Jan. 19 in Downtown Nampa at 1415 1st St. South.
The non-profit co-op plans to focus on locally farmed and produced foods. The co-op has already signed up 1,300 members, according to a press release.
Lifetime charter memberships are available for $65 ($50 equity + $15 admin fee). The cutoff date for these memberships will be announced soon. After the cutoff date, regular memberships will be available for $75 ($50 equity + $25 admin fee) plus a $35 annual renewal fee.
Membership will not be required to shop at the store, though it will give members discounts and access to member appreciation events as well as the right to vote on co-op issues.
The co-op hired Nampa native Michael Worman as its operations manager in November. The board will hire additional staff in the coming weeks, according to the press release.
