Local company buys prime piece of property in downtown Boise
An Eagle entrepreneur just picked up a prime piece of downtown Boise.
Babilim, LLC, has finalized a deal to buy WaFd Bank’s regional headquarters on Idaho Street, according to reports from multiple commercial real estate brokers.
Babilim is a Nampa-based corporation registered to Roc Pilon, the founder and CEO of Gymreapers, which manufactures weightlifting equipment and fitness apparel. Pilon also runs a clutch of other companies, including one that holds of handful of commercial and industrial properties around the Treasure Valley.
Now, Pilon is adding the four-story, 31,909-square-foot office at 1001 W. Idaho St. to his portfolio.
TOK partner Sam McCaskill, who represented the buyer, could not be reached for comment on the sale. Neither could the three of brokers from Summit Commercial Real Estate Group who represented the seller.
TOK first reported the sale, saying the building was bought by an unnamed investor.
That investor is Pilon, a Boise State alumnus who founded Nampa-based Gymreapers in 2014.
The WaFd (formerly Washington Federal) property is much larger than the building itself, which only occupies the northeast corner of the lot. Much of the rest is parking, with 29 surface and 57 underground spaces, according to the original listing.
Agents involved did not disclose the sale price. The Ada County Assessor’s Office appraised the property at $6.11 million this year, according to county records.
