Overview
The 2025 Lincoln Corsair compact luxury SUV enters the segment with one of the lowest starting prices in its class, pairing accessible pricing with a well-appointed cabin and two distinct powertrain options. Three trims span the lineup, with Premiere and Reserve models drawing power from a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder producing 250 horsepower, while the Grand Touring adds a plug-in hybrid system delivering 27 miles of electric-only range and 76 MPGe combined. The Corsair shares its platform with the Ford Escape, but prioritizes ride comfort and cabin refinement over the sharper handling of European rivals like the BMW X3 and Audi Q5.
What's New for 2025?
Changes for the 2025 Corsair are limited to personalization options only, and not much has changed for the compact SUV since its launch either. The Jet Appearance Package, previously restricted to Premiere and Reserve trims, is now optional on the Grand Touring. This package adds 20-inch black aluminum wheels and darkened exterior elements, including the upper grille design, fender badges, and door frame molding. Inside, the Sandstone interior color is replaced by Light Smoked Truffle across applicable trims.
Exterior
The 2025 Corsair has rather tame styling that is now starting to look a little dated against aggressive German and Japanese rivals. A bold chrome-framed grille highlights the front, flanked by jewel-like LED headlamps that double as Lincoln's Embrace welcome light sequence. Smooth body panels flow into a sculpted rear finished with a full-width LED light bar.
Wheel sizes scale with trim, where 18-inch alloys apply to the Premiere, 19-inch machined units are standard on the Reserve and Grand Touring, and 20-inch black aluminum wheels come with the optional Jet Appearance Package. The package applies body-color paint to the lower fascia, wheel lips, and cladding for a cleaner, more cohesive look.
Interior
The cabin centers on a standard 13.2-inch touchscreen paired with a standard 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster. Dual-zone automatic climate control, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and heated and 10-way power-adjustable front seats are standard on the Premiere. The Reserve adds genuine leather upholstery and ventilated front seats.
Optional 24-way Perfect Position front seats with massage function are a genuine standout at this price point, and the sliding second-row bench adjusts fore and aft to prioritize either legroom or cargo space. Cargo capacity reaches 27.0/27.6 cubic feet behind the rear seats, expanding to 56.2/57.6 cubic feet with the seatbacks folded (the slightly lower values apply to the hybrid).
Price Range and Best Value Trim
The 2025 Lincoln Corsair prices cover three distinct trims across a $15,000 spread. The Reserve justifies its step over the Premiere by adding genuine leather upholstery, ventilated front seats, a hands-free liftgate, seven-color ambient lighting, a surround-view camera, wireless charging, and 19-inch alloy wheels.

Pros and Cons
Pros
- One of the lowest starting prices in the segment
- Optional 24-way Perfect Position seats with massage set a benchmark at this price point
- Grand Touring PHEV delivers 76 MPGe combined with 27 miles of electric-only range
- Six-year powertrain warranty leads most segment rivals
Cons
- Shared Ford Escape platform limits handling engagement versus European rivals
- Grand Touring PHEV powertrain becomes noticeably rough under hard acceleration
- Wireless charging pad prone to overheating issues
- Rear headroom is tight for taller adults due to the sloping roofline
Verdict
The Corsair builds its argument around interior comfort, standard features, and accessible pricing rather than driving dynamics. The 250-horsepower 2.0-liter reaches 60 mph in approximately 6.1-6.6 seconds, placing it near segment par while the tuning clearly favors cushioning over cornering. Most buyers will find the Reserve trim rational for roughly $7,500 over the Premiere.
The Grand Touring PHEV makes the strongest case for buyers who charge at home regularly, as the 76 MPGe figure dramatically cuts running costs during short daily commutes alongside the 27 miles electric-only range. With production ending soon, dealer incentives are likely to make the Corsair's value case even sharper than the sticker prices suggest.
