Meridian will get its first Target at District at Ten Mile. What else is coming?

The company behind the major commercial development project called The District at Ten Mile in western Meridian has announced what lies ahead for the sprawling complex.

In short, look forward to many popular chain restaurants and a major department store.

Ahlquist Development announced in a Facebook post on March 6 a clear plan for the 650,000-square-feet area, which will include retail and office space, as well as lifestyle facilities.

The anchor of the development will be a large Target store. The company also announced that food options will include In-N-Out, Mo’ Bettahs, Taco Bell, Handel’s Ice Cream and Panera Bread.

Meridian got Idaho’s first-ever In-N-Out just two years ago, and the burger behemoth out of California has been adding restaurants to the Treasure Valley ever since, with openings in Boise and Nampa.

Ahlquist said the 147,000-square-foot Target is expected to open in May 2027. This will be the fourth Target in the Treasure Valley but Meridian’s first. Boise, Eagle and Nampa have the others.

There also will be a LifeTime Fitness at The District, the second such location in the Treasure Valley after one opened in Eagle.

The District at Ten Mile will span over 200 acres across from the huge Scheels location on Wayfinder Avenue at the Ten Mile Road interchange, just north of Interstate 84. There will be several retail tenants in addition to Target, Ahlquist Development said.

The city of Meridian OK’d the project in October 2025, dubbing it “The Village 2.0,” despite some resident concerns over the impact on traffic and school enrollment, the Idaho Statesman previously reported.

“The District at Ten Mile is where the next chapter of the Treasure Valley begins,” Ahlquist Development said in its post.
