Costco extending hours for some members June 30. Will it affect Idaho stores?
Starting next week, Costco is making it easier for some members to go on a morning shopping run.
On June 30, the retailer is changing its operating hours, providing people with an “Executive” membership, the higher and pricier of Costco’s two membership tiers, with early access to its stores.
New Costco hours for Executive members
Currently, the Costco stores in the Boise area opens at 10 a.m. Sunday through Friday, and 9:30 a.m. on Saturdays.
Starting next week, stores will open at 9 a.m. Sunday through Friday for Executive members only, according to a post on the company’s Instagram account. On Saturdays, the Executive-only access will run from 9 to 9:30 a.m.
While the early access only applies to Executive members, all other members will be able to access the store starting at 10 a.m. Sunday through Friday and at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday.
What is a Costco Executive membership?
Costco offers two membership options: the standard “Gold Star” membership and the premium-tier Executive membership.
A standard membership costs $65 a year and gets you access to the store as well as Costco’s online shopping option.
Executive memberships cost $130 a year and get members access to discounts on certain Costco services as well as 2% rewards on Costco purchases.
