We’re launching a new product for readers this week — one that bridges some of the gap between the fluidity of digital news and the curated nature of print news.

Idaho Statesman Now, which debuts Tuesday morning, will feature all of our latest local news from the day before — with no deadline. So when a game ends at midnight, the story will be there. When the City Council wraps its meeting at 11 p.m., the recap will be there. And instead of having to dig through our website or social media channels to find the stories that are most important to you, they’ll all be presented in a format similar to a newspaper — with the latest or most important information first, and like topics together.

We’ll publish Idaho Statesman Now primarily Tuesday through Saturday mornings. You can get it emailed directly to your inbox by following the Newsletters link at the bottom of IdahoStatesman.com, or you can find a link to the latest issue at IdahoStatesman.com and in the Idaho Statesman app.

We’ll also do occasional special editions related to sports events that occur after our print deadline — the Boise State men’s basketball team’s upcoming selection for the NCAA Tournament, for example — and big breaking news. Those special editions could be in the form of a Sunday or Monday morning edition, or even a midday edition.

Idaho Statesman Now provides us with a new, distinct way to reach our readers. Here’s a review of ways you can follow all the work of our 16 local reporters, two opinion writers and two visual journalists:

IdahoStatesman.com/Idaho Statesman app: Our website and app are the places to go for the absolute latest news. Most stories are published there as they are completed, while some are scheduled to publish early in the morning. Check back throughout the day for updates. Digital subscriptions are available at account.idahostatesman.com/subscribe.

Idaho Statesman Now: Our latest product is a hybrid between the print and digital models. It includes all of the local stories we completed the previous day, packaged in a newspaper-style format. It will publish Tuesday-Saturday mornings, and other times as warranted.

Print: The Idaho Statesman’s traditional printed newspaper publishes Monday-Friday and Sunday mornings. It includes local, national and international news, plus comics, puzzles, TV information and more. Print-digital combo subscriptions are available at account.idahostatesman.com/subscribe.

eEdition: The traditional eEdition is a replica of our newspaper, with the same deadline for local content. It reads exactly like the newspaper. We also include dozens of pages of additional national and sports content in the back. The eEdition is deliverable by email and accessible through our website and app. It publishes seven days a week, with an electronic-only version on Saturdays.

Facebook/Twitter: Follow the Idaho Statesman’s social media accounts to receive links to stories as they publish.

Newsletters: We have newsletters that feature the latest headlines each morning and afternoon, the biggest breaking news, and content catered to specific audiences — Capitol Letters for legislative news, The Idaho Way for opinion, and other newsletters that feature business, sports, outdoors and food news. Sign up for newsletters by following the link at the bottom of IdahoStatesman.com.

News alerts: Want to know what’s happening ASAP? Opt in for push alerts to your phone (through the Idaho Statesman app) or your computer (enable notifications in your web browser).
