The latest proposed developments, other construction projects and new businesses around the Treasure Valley:


Kount, the Boise fraud-prevention company, has moved its global headquarters from Lusk Street to 1005 W. Main St. The company employs more than 160 people. The company has been remodeling the century-old building for more than a year and added a fifth floor.

SI Construction LLC of Nampa is seeking to build 18 two-story townhouses at 52 N. Liberty St. The project would consist of three buildings on 1.6 acres.

Sondra McMindes of Children’s Therapy Place seeks to build a new two-story office at 101 S. Allumbaugh Way.

Sally Herrold wants to build a single-story commercial building and associated site improvements at a property at 3191 E. Barber Valley Drive.

Eric Anderson of ALC Architecture is looking to build a 112,550 square foot self-storage business at 1277 E. Exchange St.

Tonn Peterson of Ball Ventures Ahlquist is seeking to construct a single-story commercial building at 3035 E. Barber Valley Drive.

Chris Gately opened a Workout Anytime fitness club at 7048 W. State St., in the Northgate Shopping Center. The club provides 24-hour access for members.

Carlee Cayton, of Meridian, has opened a Floor Coverings International Boise West, a franchise that uses mobile showrooms to bring sample coverings to customers’ homes, at 5451 W. Kendall St. in Boise.

Wildflower Floral leased 1,488 square feet of retail space located at 2753 W. State Street in Boise, reports Thornton Oliver Keller Commercial Real Estate

Franz Bakery has applied to open an outlet store at 10356 W. Fairview Ave. The Portland company also operates a store at 455 N. Benjamin Lane.

The Dance Closet is seeking to open a dance apparel shop at 9931 W. Cable Car St., Suite 150.

British Italian German Motors is seeking to build a 3,025-square-foot auto shop at 10152 W. State St. An existing home on the property would be used as an office and storage area.


A new salon, Joy House of Glam, plans a grand opening at noon Friday, April 5, at 2830 N. Eagle Road.

Nonprofit Sleep in Heavenly Peace, which builds beds for children in the Treasure Valley, plans a grand opening at 5 p.m. Tuesday, April 9, at 1120 Taylor Ave., Suite 100.

Kvell Fitness and Nutrition plans an open house at noon Thursday, April 11, at 3015 W. McMillan Road, Suite 103.


Kuna is considering increasing impact fees on developers to raise money for the police department. The city will hold a public hearing at 6 p.m. on May 7 at the Kuna City Hall, 751 W. 4th Street.

Tim Eck, of EAMI LLC, is applying to rezone 57 acres from agricultural to medium-density residential in Patriot Ridge Estates, located near the northwest corner of Lake Hazel and Linder Roads. The development would be an addition to the Caspian Subdivision, which already has 494 homes.
