The local Flying Pie Pizzeria chain, often voted Best Pizza in the Idaho Statesman’s Best of Treasure Valley competition, will expand further into the area with a new restaurant in Nampa.
The company posted the news on its Facebook page on Monday.
Flying Pie has more than 30 years of history in Boise. It’s known for inventive pizza toppings on its “whirled famous pizza,” an annual habanero pepper pizza celebration, local beers, and a fun and funky atmosphere.
Sun Valley businessman Florian Penalva bought the company in 2011 and immediately began looking for ways to grow. Since then, Panalva has added two new locations for a total of four. This Nampa shop will make five.

Now Nampa is now at the top of the list and should open in early 2018, says Flying Pie marketing director Kayce Branford. Stay tuned for more details.
