Ada County Pet of the Week: Zeus

Zeus
Zeus

Zeus, 4-1/2, is a 56-pound neutered male black and white border collie mix. He can be a little raucous at his kennel door, but don’t let that fool you — once you get him out his wonderful personality shines. Zeus is a smart, happy boy who already knows a number of obedience commands and walks nicely on a leash. He is very playful and loves toys and tennis balls. Zeus does have a high prey drive, which means he doesn’t do well around smaller dogs, cats or other small animals. But he has enjoyed playgroups with other shelter dogs his size. An on-leash introduction with any potential canine housemates is required before adoption. Zeus also tends to guard his possessions and food, so he will need to be fed separately from other dogs and any children in the house. He will need a home with kids over the age of 8.

You can find Zeus (#17959046) in kennel 310 at the Idaho Humane Society, 4775 Dorman St. in Boise The shelter is open daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. You can learn more and see other adoptable pets at idahohumanesociety.org.
