Gracie, 1-1/2, is a 34-pound spayed female black and white American pit bull terrier mix. She is a sweet girl with lots of energy and enthusiasm. She will need an active owner with time to provide regular activity for her. When not busy playing, Gracie is much calmer and has great indoor manners and a gentle, easy-going demeanor. She completed training in the Inmate Dog Alliance Project of Idaho (IDAPI) program, where she learned basic obedience and fun tricks. She is also crate-trained. Gracie is very willing to please and responds well to treats and positive praise. She is a social dog and enjoys interacting with people and dogs alike. A dog-to-dog introduction is required to ensure a good match for any canine housemates. Gracie should do well with sturdy children who are comfortable interacting with an energetic dog. She does require a cat-free home. You can meet Gracie (#30761919) in kennel 317 at the Idaho Humane Society, 4775 Dorman St., Boise The shelter is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. seven days a week.
