Ada County Pet of the Week: Marble
Marble, 1, is a 9-pound spayed female Chihuahua-Dachshund mix with a black and gray dappled coat. This delightful girl quickly won the hearts of Idaho Humane Society staff and volunteers. She loves hanging out on laps and snuggling, but once her feet hit the floor she is a high-speed busy body. She may not have much leash experience, but it would be wonderful if her new family worked with her on this so she can enjoy regular walks around the neighborhood. She seems to be very motivated by treats, which can help with her training. Taking her to an obedience class will ensure that she has her manners in place and also help her bond with her new family.
You can meet Marble (#31857004) at the Idaho Humane Society’s PetSmart Everyday Adoption Center, 130 N. Milwaukee St. in Boise. Hours: 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. every day except Sunday, when it closes at 5 p.m. The main shelter is located at 4775 Dorman St. in Boise, and open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. seven days a week.
