Ada County Pet of the Week: Archie
Archie, 9, is a 50-pound neutered male Australian cattle dog mix. Despite his age, he’s a spirited boy who will need daily activity to work off some of his energy — he would love to run, hike and go on plenty of long walks. His new owner will need to help him learn not to pull on the leash, and a walking harness can help with that. Archie will “sit” and “down” when asked, and he could learn a few more commands. He will jump on people a bit, so continuing work to help him learn his manners will be important. He should be OK with other dogs in the home.
Archie (#31447932) is in kennel 323 at the Idaho Humane Society, 4775 Dorman St. in Boise. The shelter is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. seven days a week. You can learn more and see other adoptable pets at idahohumanesociety.org.
