Ada County Pet of the Week: Mr. Melon
Mr. Melon, 3, is an 8-1/2 pound neutered male domestic longhair with handsome orange and white tiger markings. He had to be shaved after he arrived at the shelter as a stray because his fur was severely matted. Mr. Melon spent some time in a foster home to recover from a little kitty cold and was a very good boy. He’s trusting and affectionate with his humans. He’s playful and will chase toys until he’s exhausted. He’ll use a cardboard scratch pad and never scratched furniture or people in his foster home. He does love to counter surf, so if that’s not a behavior you like, gentle correction and some cat trees that he can climb on should help.
Mr. Melon (#30999553) is in kennel 105 at the Idaho Humane Society, 4775 Dorman St. in Boise. The shelter is open daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. See more adoptable pets at idahohumanesociety.org.
