Meridian Pet of the Week: Max

Max
Max

Max, 8, is a senior, neutered Chocolate Labrador/Heeler, who was surrendered to another rescue, owner was moving, and has ended up in our care. This big guy is good with other dogs and kids of all ages. Max is reported not to be house or kennel trained but keeps his kennel clean over night at the rescue. Max doesn’t have all the leash manners down pat but he does walk easy, makes good eye contact and will walk in sync with a handler when reminded. He knows sit, down and will wait patiently as instructed. Max is currently shedding out and in need of some grooming but appears healthy and is definitely happy. Max would probably do best in a family home that would include him in regular activities outside and in and are willing to work with an older fella on house training. To meet Max stop by the shelter at 191 N. Linder Road in Meridian or call 794-0944 . For other adoptable dogs and current hours see www.meridianvalleyhumanesociety.org.
