Meet Elmer, the pet of the week for March 31
Elmer is a 3-year-old neutered male Chihuahua mix. He is a very sweet boy who came to the Treasure Valley from an overcrowded animal shelter in Phoenix, Ariz., earlier in March.
Elmer appears to have suffered a stroke or similar neurologic event in his past that has caused a slight head tilt, but he doesn’t let that slow him down. He gets along well with other dogs and loves people — he enjoys being held. He would be a wonderful family dog.
Elmer (#31078481) is in kennel 301 at the Idaho Humane Society, 4775 Dorman St., Boise. The shelter is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. seven days a week. You can call 208-475-0855 with any questions about Elmer.
You can learn more about the shelter and find other adoptable pets at idahohumanesociety.org.
