Meridian Pet of the Week: Diesel

Diesel, 3-4, is a handsome male red nose pit bull. Diesel has cropped ears. He is blind in the left eye but he has adapted to his condition and handles his surroundings very well. It’s reported he’s good with all children and dogs but has a high prey drive so no cats and careful introductions to smaller animals would have to be made. He seems to be house- and kennel-trained, knows “sit” and gently accepts treats. Diesel is strong and will require a owner who’s experienced with the breed and will work with him on leash manners, giving him plenty of exercise. The Meridian Valley Humane Society is at 191 N.
