Ada County Pet of the Week: Brutus
Brutus, 8, is a 60-pound neutered male tricolor Doberman Pinscher mix. This strong boy can be a bit independent, but he will be extremely loyal once he bonds with his new family. He will thrive with an owner who will dedicate time and energy into playing with him and making sure he gets plenty of exercise so he can shed a few pounds. Brutus already knows several obedience commands, and his new owner should work to reinforce this training. He will need a home without cats or other small animals but does well with dogs his size. He has lived with children of all ages in the past, though he may overwhelm smaller kids. He is a very sweet boy who will make a loving companion once he finds a secure forever home.
Brutus (#30827298) is located in kennel 304 at the Idaho Humane Society, 4775 Dorman St. in Boise. The shelter is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. seven days a week. You can learn more at idahohumanesociety.org.
