Meet Frodo, the pet of the week for March 3
Frodo is a 10-year-old, 60-pound neutered Labrador retriever mix. He is a very sweet senior guy who deserves to live the rest of his life in a loving, secure environment.
He is a smart, curious dog who loves to play and go on walks. He has a lot of energy despite his age. Frodo is very friendly toward people and has lived with children before. He also gets along with many other dogs.
He was surrendered by his previous owners because of some landlord issues. He has a tendency to dig holes and can be a bit destructive when left alone outside, so he will need attentive owners who will monitor him and let him live indoors with the family.
Crate-training would be beneficial so he has a secure place to stay when he is home alone. Additional obedience training would be good for him as well — he is very motivated by treats.
