Meet Jasper, Caldwell Pet of the Week for Feb. 23

Jasper is a 3-year-old male Australian shepherd mix who came to us as a stray from Parma. He weighs 49 pounds. He is a very handsome boy. Jasper passed his dog test prior to being made available for adoption; however, he will require a meet and greet with other dogs in your household prior to being adopted. It’s always recommended that you bring in all human family members as well. Choosing a new dog is a big decision and we want to make sure it is a good fit for everyone. The American Kennel Club describes Australian shepherds as being very active and intelligent. He will need a securely fenced yard so that he can run and play safely and get a good dose of daily exercise. Provide him with outlets to keep his mind and body active. His coat should get a weekly brushing. Jasper is up to date on his vaccinations, micro-chipped, and neutered. He is ready to go home.

Jasper resides in Dog Adoptions here at the West Valley Humane Society located at 5801 Graye Lane in Caldwell. The hours of operation are Monday through Saturday, 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and closed on Sundays.
