Ada County Pet of the Week: Chevy

Chevy
Chevy

Chevy, 3, is a 65-pound neutered male black Labrador retriever mix.

This strong boy has puppy-like exuberance and will need lots of exercise and activities. He is motivated by tennis balls and treats, which can help with his obedience training. Working on his manners will be crucial. Once he calms down, he can be very loving. He seems to get along well with other dogs. He is too overwhelming for young children now, but he would be great in an active older family.

Chevy (#30550215) is in kennel 326 at the Idaho Humane Society, 4775 Dorman St. in Boise. The shelter is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. seven days a week. Learn more at idahohumanesociety.org.
