Canyon County Pet of the Week: Butcho
Butcho, 9, is a Shepherd mix who was surrendered to the shelter due to owner moving. This beautiful boy is now ready for a home to spend his golden years. Seniors are the best. Open your heart and home to this special dog and you will both benefit. He is housetrained and has been an inside dog. He loves to sleep on the couch and play with stuff animals. Since he is a senior, large breed dog, his new family will need to take him to their veterinarian at some point for an eye exam and have his hips x-rayed. We always recommend that you bring in the whole family and other dogs in the home or a meet and greet. Our staff will perform the introductions. We can also cat test with cats housed here at the shelter. We will be happy to assist you. He is up to date on his vaccinations, micro-chipped, and neutered. He is ready to go to his forever home. He qualifies for our Seniors for Seniors Program. Select dogs age 6 and up are free to an adopter age 60 and older.
Butcho resides in Dog Adoptions here at the West Valley Humane Society located at 5801 Graye Lane in Caldwell. The hours of operation are Monday through Saturday 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and closed on Sundays.
