Ada County pet of the week: Raven
Raven, 3-1/2, is a 58-pound spayed female pit bull mix. She loves any kind of water — even baths — and would be especially suited to a family that enjoys recreation at a river or lake. Raven is a graduate of the Inmate Dog Alliance Project of Idaho program, where she learned basic obedience commands and tricks. She is an easy-going girl who will be at her best if she gets daily exercise from walks and playtime. Raven will need a family with older children and an experienced dog owner. She needs time to bond with new people, but will be comfortable as long as you are gentle and patient with her. She loves to play with other dogs, but requires a cat-free home.
Raven (#27859150) is in kennel 308 at the Idaho Humane Society, 4775 Dorman St. in Boise. The shelter is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. seven days a week. Because Raven is an IDAPI graduate, an application is required. You can find one at idahohumanesociety.org/programs/idapi/adoption-application. You can learn more about the shelter at idahohumanesociety.org.
