Ada County Pet of the Week: Zorro

Zorro
Zorro

Zorro, 11 months, is a 53-pound neutered male American Pitbull Terrier. This cuddly, affectionate boy has had a long journey with the Idaho Humane Society. He was born in the shelter last October and adopted when he was a little over 9 weeks old. He was unfortunately returned to us last month when his adopters said they could not keep him due to allergies. While we were sad to see him returned, we’re hopeful that he’ll be able to find his forever family soon. He is a little intimidated by the shelter environment and is very shy around strangers. Once he has time to relax, he becomes incredibly sweet and affectionate. He will snuggle on your lap if you let him. He does great with other dogs but does need a cat-free home. Zorro is already house-trained, enjoys going for walks, and likes to ride in the car. He is motivated by treats and praise so training him should be a lot of fun.

You can find Zorro (#36879975) in Kennel 403 at the Idaho Humane Society, 4775 Dorman St. in Boise. The shelter is open every day from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. You can find more information about Zorro and other adoptable animals at Idahohumanesociety.org
