Ada County Pet of the Week: Loki

Loki
Loki

Loki, 2, is a 55-pound neutered male Border Collie mix. This active young dog is about as friendly and outgoing as they come. He thrives off of mental games and physical activity, and will need an equally active owner to keep this energizer bunny happy. Loki is intelligent and eager to please — use this to your advantage for training him. Not only will it help him become a more manageable, well-behaved pup but he will appreciate the bonding time. Plus, he enjoys every opportunity to show off how smart he is. Loki enjoys kids but will likely be best with older, sturdier ones. He can be a little shy around strangers but is loyal and affectionate to those he trusts. Loki does well with other dogs but can be overwhelmed if they are too rough or pushy. His favorite activities include going for runs, playing ‘shake’ with his soft toys, and chasing after rubber balls.

Loki (#3910947) is available for adoption in Kennel 412 at the Idaho Humane Society, 4775 Dorman St. in Boise. The shelter is open every day from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. For more information about Loki or other adoptable pets, go to Idahohumanesociety.org
