Meridian Pet of the Week: Remi
Remi, 5, is in need of a new love. Her previous owner passed away and she’s pretty sad. She’s a sweet girl who just takes a minute to warm up, but watch out when she does. Can you imagine how sad and confusing it would be to have a happy home and then suddenly lose your person? The rescue is dedicated to helping Remi find her smile again and to help find her another wonderful home. She’s excited to meet her new person or people and show them what a good girl she is.
Remi is past her puppy years and is a big fan of cuddles, walks and couch surfing. She can still play, she’s just not the energetic puppy she once was. And she loves to give kisses. If you slowly sit yourself down on the ground and talk sweetly to her, she’ll climb right up into your lap and give you lots of kisses.
She’s a bit of a chunky monkey and could stand to lose a pound or two. Healthy treats for Remi are frozen green beans. They’re crunchy and yummy and are good for her.
Rumor has it she’s good with kids, other doggies and even kitties. Of course, it’s best to bring the whole family in to meet her and see how it goes.
To meet Remi and other dogs come to the Meridian Canine Rescue and fill out an application. The rescue’s location is 501 E. Scenery Lane in Meridian. Hours are noon to 5 p.m. Thursday through Sunday. Call 208-794-0844 or go to meridianrescue.org.
