Ada County Pet of the Week: Kanga

Kanga
Kanga

Kanga, 4, is a 56-pound spayed female Labrador Retriever/Doberman Pinscher mix. Kanga is a sweet, affectionate dog who is a little stressed out in the shelter environment. Kanga can be aloof around strangers and leans heavily on her favorite humans for support. Once Kanga gets to know and trust you, her loyalty and adoration is unwavering. She thinks of herself as a big lapdog. Kanga showed medium-high energy during her evaluation so a home that can give her daily playtime and activity would be best for her. Most importantly, Kanga needs a family that will welcome her to live indoors with them and include her in family activities. With time, patience, and a gentle touch, Kanga is sure to be a wonderful companion.

If you are interested in adopting Kanga (#39315134 ) you can find her in Kennel 406 at the Idaho Humane Society, 4775 Dorman St. in Boise. The shelter is open every day from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. For more information about Kanga or other adoptable animals, go to idahohumanesociety.org
