Canyon County Pet of the Week: McJagger

McJagger, 1, is a sweet, gorgeous 54-pound dog who arrived at the shelter as a stray.

Even after over two months in the shelter, McJagger has nice kennel manners, politely and quietly greeting everyone that comes to his door. He seems fine with strangers approaching him in the shelter lobby too.

He enjoys playing and talking with the dogs in the adjacent yards. He’s been good even with small dogs. During a recent tour of the shelter, he walked well on leash and was calm and curious, especially around the cats, kittens and rabbits.

McJagger already knows sit and shake. He is house-trained. McJagger is hoping that he will get the attention of an active family that will keep him busy and engaged. McJagger’s special adoption fee of only $80 includes neuter, current vaccines, and microchip.

Come meet McJagger at West Valley Humane Society, 5801 Graye Lane in Caldwell, 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday through Saturday. Learn about him and other adoptable pets at
