Cheryl, 1, is a seven-pound female Domestic Shorthair. She’s playful, affectionate, adventurous — we can’t find one thing about Cheryl that we don’t like. Our favorite thing about her is that she doesn’t seem to know the meaning of the word stranger. She’ll come to the front of her cage to say “hello” to anyone who walks by and if you stop to offer her scratches behind the ear or chin rubs, you’re her new best friend. Cheryl still has a lot of playful kitten-like energy so stock up on toys. She loves to chase after string and feathers and when she’s not busy playing, she likes to explore her surroundings. Cheryl has never lived with children before but so long as they are gentle and respectful, we think she should be fine with them. We are not sure about how she does with other animals, so be sure to carefully monitor introductions.
You can find Cheryl (#3014406) in Cattery Kennel 06 at the Idaho Humane Society. The shelter is open every day from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. For more information about Cheryl or other adoptable pets, go to idahohumanesociety.org
