Canyon County Pet of the Week: Kylee

Kylee, 5, is a beautiful velvet hippo who has been searching for her forever family since at least January 2018. She was lucky enough to score a foster family for a while that rated her as “best foster dog yet” and “hilarious.”

Kylee is such a smarty pants — fully house-trained, crate-trained, knows sit and down for treats, but has insufficient balance to shake. She waddles beautifully on a leash. Kylee enjoys strolls on the Greenbelt and dips in the river. She dives off docks with the beauty and grace of a rock. Foster family learned that she loves to sleep and snores like a freight train. She plays on your schedule. She knows plush toys are friends and not food. She loves butt scratches

Kylee has a dominant personality, but got along well with her furry foster brother. She knows that true love takes time. Kylee prefers adults and may do well with teens, but needs a home without young children. Kylee’s adoption fee includes spay, current vaccines, and microchip.

Come meet Kylee at West Valley Humane Society, 5801 Graye Lane in Caldwell, 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday through Saturday. Learn about her and other adoptable pets at
