Canyon County Pet of the Week: Lana

Meet Lana, 3, a gorgeous, healthy 50 pound brindle adorabull adoptabull dog who has waited almost three months for her forever family to find her.

Lana arrived at the shelter as a transfer from an overcrowded shelter in Sacramento, Calif., with a litter of puppies. All the puppies were adopted and left Lana a little sad so no one really noticed her in her kennel.

Fast forward to today and we've learned that this mama dog is happy, sweet and loving. She has done well with other dogs she has met and even lives with another dog at the shelter who she has made her wrestling partner. Lana loves people of all ages and even walks nicely on a leash. Lana's adoption fee includes spay, current vaccines, and microchip.

Come meet Lana at West Valley Humane Society, 5801 Graye Lane, Caldwell, 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday through Saturday. Learn about her and other adoptable pets at
