Ada County Pet of the Week: Dobi

Dobi, 6, is an 11-pound neutered male Dachshund/Miniature Pinscher mix. He is a handsome little guy with a winning personality to match. He's curious, friendly, and an-all-around happy fellow. Dobi is a social butterfly that enjoys meeting new people and dogs. While he is friendly with dogs, we recommend doing a dog-to-dog introduction before taking him home to another canine as he has never lived with other animals before. Dobi will tolerate being held and snuggled, but he is much more interested in exploring and playing. Dobi will be best in a home with older children who can be gentle and respectful when handling him. Dobi is used to being on furniture and slept in bed with his previous owner so keep this in mind when adopting. Dobi is sure to be an affectionate, loving companion for whoever decides to take him home.

Dobi (#38822257) can be found in Kennel 420 at the Idaho Humane Society, 4775 Dorman St. in Boise. The shelter is open every day from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. For more information about Dobi or other adoptable animals, go to
