Canyon County Pet of the Week: Sawyer


Sawyer, 4, is a beautiful German shorthaired pointer, at a medium size 56 pounds. Sawyer is lap-loving, curious and active. One of our volunteers said she “loves working with Sawyer because he is so well mannered and trained.” He was surrendered so he could find a home more suited to him: one that can give him more attention. Sawyer is fearful of quick movements so any children in the home should be older and move slowly around him.

Sawyer does vocalize concerns or when he wants attention. He is nervous about new sounds, and is afraid of guns. He will need a secure yard to play in. He is neutered, micro-chipped and vaccinated. Sawyer requires a meet-and-greet with any other pets in the home.
