Ada County Pet of the Week: Vera

Vera
Vera

Vera, 2, is a 51-pound spayed female pharaoh hound mix. She transferred from a shelter in San Antonio, Texas, on Dec. 1. Vera is a confident, friendly girl who will thrive in an active home. She is intelligent and food-motivated, which is a great combination for training. She knows “sit” and “come,” and rides nicely in the car. She is happiest when she’s around her people and has proven to be an affectionate, loyal dog. Vera gets along well with other dogs for the most part but due to her size and rowdy playstyle, a dog introduction is required. Vera will do best in a home with older children for the same reason. Vera is a beautiful dog with a big, loving heart.

You can meet Vera (#37287622) in kennel 422 at the Idaho Humane Society, 4775 Dorman St. in Boise. The shelter is open every day from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Find more information and see other adoptable pets at idahohumanesociety.org
