Ada County Pet of the Week: Minerva
Minerva, 2, is an 8-pound female domestic shorthair with beautiful tri-colored tiger stripes and bright green eyes. Brought in as a stray, Minerva is a sweet girl who appreciates a calm environment. While she is initially shy with strangers, she becomes friendly and affectionate once she’s comfortable. She enjoys being held and will purr the entire time she is in someone’s arms. Minerva is still young and exhibits playful, kitten-like tendencies when she isn’t busy taking a nap. She enjoys batting at feather toys and pawing at your hands. Minerva will do best in a quieter home with older kids or respectful younger ones.
Minerva (#36541566) can be found in kennel 1 at the Idaho Humane Society, 4775 Dorman St. in Boise. The shelter is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. seven days a week. You can learn more and see other adoptable pets at www.idahohumanesociety.org.
