Canyon County Pet of the Week: Kyro
Kyro, 1, is an Australian Shepherd/Lab mix. He has a soft red-and-white coat that will need only an occasional brushing and bath. He weighs 43 pounds. Kyro was owner surrendered because his owner’s landlord did not allow dogs. Kyro will need an owner who will put in some work with him. He needs some help on house training and pulls on the leash, but he is a group favorite around here. He gets along with some dogs and likes to be able to choose his friends. Kyro does not like cats. He knows “sit” and “lie down” and is treat motivated. He’s young, so he needs an active home where the family will work with him and love him. He’s good with kids and he loves to play. Kyro is unsure of children who grab at him so children older than 6 would be best. He is up to date on vaccinations and microchipped, and will be neutered before heading home.
Kyro is in the dog adoptions wing at West Valley Humane Society, 5801 Graye Lane in Caldwell. Learn about them and other adoptable pets at www.westvalleyhumanesociety.org.
