Canyon County Pet of the Week: Bear

Bear
Bear

Bear, 6, is a male border collie/chow mix who came as a surrender due to his owner’s landlord not allowing dogs. He weighs 69 pounds. He is likely is house-trained and walks nicely on a leash. He knows some commands and is interested in treats. He is active and energetic, and likes to chase after a ball. He is a happy, fun boy and loves to get brushed. He’s a volunteer favorite, loves the water and on hot days he lies down in a water tub. Bear will need to go to a home without cats or other small animals, and any children should be older than ages 10-12. Bear is choosy about his doggy companions, but once he finds a dog he clicks with, playtime is on. A meet and greet with any other dogs in the house is required before adoption.

Bear is current on his vaccinations, micro-chipped and neutered. This is all included in his adoption fee. Bear is in the dog adoptions wing at West Valley Humane Society, 5801 Graye Lane in Caldwell. Learn about them and other adoptable pets at www.westvalleyhumanesociety.org.
