Ada County Pet of the Week: Moose
Moose, 3, is a 78-pound neutered male black and brown Saint Bernard-German Shepherd mix. He is a big boy who needs an owner he can trust to be the leader and give him direction. He is a determined, powerful boy who has his own ideas about where he wants to go when out walking, so his people will need to work with him on his leash skills. The good news is that he’s very easily motivated by food rewards. Moose has already mastered “sit,” “down” and “shake” and could definitely learn a lot more. He will need an introduction to any potential canine housemates and may prefer to be the only dog in his new home. He also requires a home without cats or younger children.
You can find Moose (#36161927) in kennel 420 at the Idaho Humane Society, 4775 Dorman St. in Boise. The shelter is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. seven days a week. Learn more and see other adoptable pets at idahohumanesociety.org.
