Maxx, 3, is a 49-pound male, black and white, border collie/bully mix. Maxx was surrendered to the shelter through no fault of his own. He is house-trained and moderately well-behaved on a leash — he pulls a bit. He will bark at other dogs outside. His owner notes that he gets along with some dogs and cats, so a meet and greet with other pets in the home is recommended. Maxx already knows “sit” and “fetch.” He likes treats and toys, so it should be easy to teach him some new tricks. He prefers men and is active and energetic. Maxx has been around chickens and ducks and has no issues with them. He is crate-trained. He is not fond of being touched on the head so any children in the home probably should be older. Maxx is neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations and microchipped. \
Maxx is in the dog adoptions wing at West Valley Humane Society, 5801 Graye Lane in Caldwell. Learn about him and all of our adoptable pets at www.westvalleyhumanesociety.org.
