Canyon County Pet of the Week: Nemo

Nemo, 14, is a sweet Chihuahua/beagle mix who was surrendered to the shelter through no fault of his own. Because he has been waiting a long time, his adoption fee is only $25 to a qualified senior.

Nemo seems to be house-trained. He knows the sit, stay, and wait commands. He gets along with some dogs, has nice leash manners and does not react to the other dogs when passing by them in the indoor kennel area. Nemo does not like cats. He loves treats and people. He is friendly, happy, calm, and gentle. Due to his age, please be gentle when picking him up.

Nemo will require a mandatory meet and greet prior to adoption with any dogs in the home, since he can be a little picky about his doggie friends. Nemo is current on his vaccinations, micro-chipped, and neutered.

Nemo is in the dog adoptions wing at West Valley Humane Society, 5801 Graye Lane in Caldwell. Learn about him and all of our adoptable pets at
