Ada County Pet of the Week: Cowboy Colton

Cowboy Coltan, 2, is a neutered male domestic shorthair. He is an affectionate boy who loves any and all attention, but he especially enjoys head rubs and chin scratches. He kneads blankets into biscuits when he feels content. He has lived with cats and dogs before and does well with them as long as they aren’t too rowdy.

Cowboy Coltan (#23357882) is available at the Idaho Humane Society’s PetSmart Every Adoption Center, 130 N. Milwaukee St. in Boise, which is open from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. every day except Sunday, when it closes at 6 p.m. The main shelter is located at 4775 Dorman St. in Boise and open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. seven days a week. The shelter is holding a Summer Lovin’ Cat Adopt-a-thon through Sunday, July 30th, and offering to reduce normal cat adoption fees. Kittens under 6 months old are $50, cats between 6 months and 1 year old are $25, and cats over 1 year old are $10 if you let the front desk know at the time of adoption that you are utilizing the promotion. All cats go home spayed or neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccinations. You can learn more and see other adoptable kitties at idahohumanesociety.org.
