Canyon County Pet of the Week: Charlie

Charlie is a 7-pound, 10-year-old Chihuahua mix who was found wandering as a stray. He’s friendly, sweet, affectionate. He has a strong preference for women and has shown to be very protective of them towards men. He was returned from an adoption for that very reason.

He is house-trained, but had accidents in the new home, so please help him through this by getting him out frequently until he knows the routine, doors, etc. He walks fairly well on a leash and has done well with other little female dogs in his playgroup at the shelter. He is not fond of other male dogs. We always recommend that you bring in all household dogs and family members for a meet and greet prior to adoption.

Charlie is current on his vaccinations, micro-chipped and neutered.

Charlie is in the Dog Adoptions wing at West Valley Humane Society, 5801 Graye Lane in Caldwell. Learn about him and other adoptable pets at www.westvalleyhumanesociety.org
