Kilo, 3, was transferred to the rescue from a shelter in Utah. He had previously been adopted and returned due to health problems. His health has since been excellent. The previous adopter reports that Kilo was reactive to other dogs while on leash and that he would jump and nip at children’s hands if they were holding anything. Here, we have noted that Kilo is reactive in the kennel environment. He has met another dog and behaved fairly well, though he is tense when the other dog wants to sniff him. For now, a home without other animals or small children is recommended. Kilo is most happy when out of the kennel and enjoys being outside.
Meet Kilo or other dogs at the Meridian Canine Rescue (formerly Meridian Valley Humane Society) to fill out an application. The rescue’s new location is 501 E. Scenery Lane, Meridian. Hours are noon to 7 p.m. Wednesday through Sunday. Call 794-0944 or go to meridianvalleyhumanesociety.org.
